#11 Edition Food & Drink - Louise Gray

Inspired by middle class dinner parties where everyone claims to eat ethically, Louise set out to find exactly where our meat comes from, spending a year eating only animals that she had killed herself. A fascinating journey, and apt for a room packed with more than its fair share of middle-class dinner party-goers.Starting small, Louise shucked oysters and caught fish. Gradually she got to know countrymen and women who taught her how to shoot pigeons and rabbits. As she began to reconnect with nature and her own upbringing in the countryside, Louise started to question modern attitudes to the meat we eat.
